Upender

Upenders (UPD) provide controlled 90-degree work positioning for heavy industrial applications such as engine block manufacturing, die handling, coil processing, mold handling, and palletizing. Designed to improve ergonomics and productivity, these units allow operators to safely reposition large and heavy objects with precision.

Built with heavy-duty steel construction and a chemical-resistant powder-coated finish, Upenders are engineered for long service life in demanding environments. Two steel tabletops meet at a 90-degree angle, allowing loads to be easily tilted from horizontal to vertical and back again using dual-action hydraulic cylinders.

The hydraulic system is fully contained within the frame, minimizing the overall footprint while maintaining a clean and efficient workspace. With lifting capacities of up to 4,000 pounds, Upenders are ideal for handling large, awkward materials in industries such as heavy equipment manufacturing, aerospace, and coil processing.

Upenders are also commonly used in palletizing and de-palletizing applications. While not self-leveling, they allow operators to gradually tilt loads toward them, reducing the need for bending and reaching. This improves efficiency and helps reduce the risk of musculoskeletal strain and injury.
